Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-07-22. This policy describes how PtData handles personal data when you use our website and API.

What we collect

• API use: request metadata (IP, path, timestamps) for rate limits, abuse prevention, and reliability.
• Accounts (Pro path): email, optional name, password hash, ToS acceptance time, email preferences.
• Billing: Paddle (merchant of record) processes payments; we receive customer/subscription ids, email, and status webhooks — not full card numbers.
• Optional newsletter: email and opt-in flags if you subscribe.
• Website analytics: we self-host Umami at analytics.ptdata.io for aggregated page views on ptdata.io (e.g. path, referrer, browser/OS, country). It is designed not to use tracking cookies for basic pageviews; we do not sell this data.

What we do not require

The free API does not require an account or email.

How we use data

• Provide and secure the service; enforce plan limits.
• Send product or marketing email only according to your opt-ins.
• Comply with law and protect against abuse.

Retention

Account and billing records while your account/subscription is active and as needed for legal/accounting. Session cookies expire; password-reset and onboarding tokens expire after short TTLs.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from email via the newsletter unsubscribe API or by contacting us at support@ptdata.io. Request account deletion by emailing support.
